Fighting for Black Justice.

Creating Equity

Together, the GOOD Community is fulfilling the promise America withheld from our ancestors who suffered at the hands of racial terrorism for over 400 years.

At home in the GOODZone, we recognize that the ground we build upon housed the slaves that, quite literally, built our nation’s Capital. Through the following generations, our ancestors were repeatedly displaced by discriminatory practices and policies. Our work will only be successful if we empower our brothers and sisters In the Fight across the country to create their own success.

Black Voices for
Black Justice

The Black Justice Fund exists to elevate and empower Black Leaders fighting for justice.

We received 4,334 nominations representing 362 incredible Black leaders. The Black leaders nominated for the Black Justice Fund are a testament to the radical commitment to social change across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. From this outstanding field, the public was able to vote amongst the nominees on our online social platform, thevillage.community, and chose the 10 Black Justice Fellows of 2023. Each fellow received a $15k award to continue funding their activism and community work.

Partying with Purpose

From our first Purpose Party in the spring of 2020 grew a movement. In an unforgettable 18 days, we traveled all over the country to amplify the voices of activists, community organizers and families struggling with police brutality and systemic racism.

In June 2021, we brought the Purpose Party back. The GOOD team, joined by Stay Solid Mental Health, was invited to return to Tulsa, OK to participate in the events surrounding the 100th anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre. Under the overpass which split Black Wall Street in the 1970s, we hosted the second Purpose Party. The experience was an honor and privilege, as side by side with thousands on the streets of Greenwood Avenue, we celebrated what America Will Be.
